The Painted Cliffs of Maria Island are a natural wonder that has been created over time by water moving down through the stone while leaving traces of other elements. The elements have stained the rocks which gives the cliffs their beautiful looks.

#8 Skógarfoss, Iceland

The 200-foot tall waterfall called Skógarfoss is located in Iceland. As part of the Skóga River, this natural wonder is situated in just the right way to see beautiful cliffs and stones at the bottom of the waterfall. Be careful, it's a long way down.

#9 Lençóis Maranhenses, Brazil

Lençóis Maranhenses is truly a wonder of the world. In the middle of a desert area full of white sand there lies Lençóis Maranhenses, a stunning pool of perfectly turquoise freshwater that has been created by the rocks that lie beneath the sands between the sand dunes holding rainwater and keeping it from being absorbed. Otherwise, it would be all desert and the freshwater fish that call the area home would be out of luck. Talk about being in the right place at the right time.
