As we become adults, our favorite childhood movies and tv shows and the characters in them always carry a special spot in our hearts.
The thing is though, as a child viewing these various shows and movies our minds are so innocent so a lot of the underlying adult messages go right over our heads.
And is there anything more entertaining than seeing how dirty these supposedly innocent shows actually are?
1. That's a pretty creative title.
Still, though, he's reading about BDSM stuff, and he's, like, 10 years old. Keep that in mind.
2. Uh, what was Arthur's dad talking about?
And why did the animators decide to make Arthur look so surprised? Never mind, we don't want to know.
3. This was the name of Rocko's doctor on "Rocko's Modern Life."
Apparently, Rocko was old enough to receive prostate exams. That's what we're going with.
4. We can think of no legitimate defense for this scene.
Donald Duck cartoons were always weird, but we don't remember anything like this.
5. Remember when the Mayor said that he used to be a sugar daddy?
When we were kids, we thought that meant that he owned a candy factory. And, in a way, we were right...
6. This joke from "Dexter's Laboratory" is a bit much.
Also, that butt is a little too well drawn for our comfort. We'd prefer a more hastily drawn butt, is what we're saying.
7. Video game graphics have come a long way.
These days, they'd do the same thing, but then release a new "Clouds DLC" that cost $5.99 and slightly changed the landscape.
8. Good luck watching "Lilo and Stitch" without screaming and throwing your TV out the window.
Granted, we always had that problem with "Lilo and Stitch," but now we've got justification for it.
9. Granted, screenshots are hard to judge.
Still...is it in any way possible that the animators didn't know what they were doing?
10. Also, the fact that it's spelled "Berenstain" is pretty mind blowing.
There's a whole theory that we're living in an alternate reality that splits between people who spelled it "Berenstein" and the ones who spelled it "Berenstain," but we'll leave that to the internet conspiracy theorists.
11. Seriously, though, what was going on here?
It's from "Cinderella," but we can't figure out how any of this relates to a magical glass slipper.
