A mother in Russia met a horrible fate as she was drowned in molten caramel when is unexpectedly pumped into a giant tank that she was cleaning at the candy factory she worked at.

36-year-old Natalia Nemets was boiled alive in the horrific accident that occurred in Stary Oskol in Belgorod Oblast Russia.

Coworkers noticed that she was not at her workstation in the factory so they went to search for her. They were absolutely shocked by what they found. When she was located, only her legs were sticking out of the hot caramel in the tank.

There was nothing they could do to save her. Nemets leaves behind a husband and a 10-year-old son named Ivan.

One of her coworkers told local newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda: "She did not cry, no other noise was heard. She was cleaning the mixer when the caramel suddenly began to flow into the bowl. She got boiled alive, this is true. The caramel was removed from the giant bowl and only then was her body was taken out. Besides the fact that it was boiling caramel, in the bowl, there are moving blades that constantly mix the caramel."

Nemets' sister Yulia told The Sun: "Her child is with us now."

The Komsomolskaya Pravda news report also added: "Two versions are being considered now - because of the high air temperature in the working room Natalia fainted and somehow fell into the bowl. The second version is that she stumbled."

A local labor commission has started an investigation into the case and will likely release a definitive report in about 15 days.

The management of Slavyanka confectionary attempted to cover-up the incident on October 20th, 2017 before being forced to admit the occurrence according to local news.

The company threatened to fire any workers who revealed any details of the accident. Despite those actions, the details of the accident still managed to appear on social media where it was confirmed by law enforcement.

Local residents say that it's the 3rd accidental death at the factory this year alone. What an unlucky year it has been.
