7 Of The Weirdest Shoes You Will Ever See

Shoes have been around for a long time. From the moment that man realized that stepping on sharp things sucks shoes have been an essential part of our lives. That doesn't mean that all shoes are made equal, however. Some shoes are just ridiculous like the ones you are gonna see now.

#1 These wooden monstrosities.

Apparently, these shoes were used by people in Spain to keep their feet out of snow and mud and other elements. They featured replaceable bottoms and might seem cool but man are they ugly.

#2 When you want that hooved look.

Japanese people wear these shoes when they are working outdoors. They are made of sturdy rubber and leather and are good for handling tough jobs. They might be practical but they are very ugly.

#3 Heels for men.

Back in the 1700's male heels were a big hit. Nowadays not so much. These days they are a horrible fashion accessory for guys and no one should be caught dead wearing them.

#4 These shoes are off the hook.

These shoes were made for brides by their husbands. The longer point it had on it the more he loved her. These shoes just look ridiculous but I guess they had some greater purpose.

#5 My what tiny feet you have.

For hundreds of years in China, it was believed that if you had small feet you were better than others. In order to get the smallest feet possible, Chinese women would train their feet to be as tiny as possible in a brutal process. Lotus shoes were used in this process to restrict the growth of the foot. Thankfully these shoes are now out of style.

#6 Do you get my point?

These Mexican pointy boots are super popular for some reason. They look absolutely ridiculous but they are seen as fashionable in certain parts of the country. You would never catch me dead in them.

#7 Who needs a heel.

Back in 2007 and 2008, these unorthodox shoes took the world by storm. The designer claims that they cause no discomfort but I don't see how. That's just not natural for feet. Just wear a regular shoe.
