Reportedly, more than 130 people called 911 just from one part of Los Angeles and numerous calls were made to TV stations from as far as San Diego. Soon after the bizarre moment was sighted, Twitter was flooded with tweets by people, sharing their exceptional experience with the world.

"So a weird object is flying in the sky right now. It was emitting a weird colorful smoke and a bright light. So basically just made our first encounter with aliens," a Twitter user 'Trev' tweeted and also posted a video of the frightening scene. "WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE SKY???," another shaken resident of LA said on Twitter. While most of the people associated the strange object with aliens, some took it way too seriously and speculated that it was North Korea's doing.

Simon Samano's interesting tweet made us all think that it might be Santa's unique way of landing before Christmas. "What the hell is this that just flew over LA and sprayed some mist all over us," it said.

All sorts of theories made by the LA residents were turned down when it was found that UFOs were not to be blamed for the unusual happening and it was just another unarmed missile launch by SpaceX Falcon9 which launched a rocket from Vanderberg Air Force Base on the California coast. “The process of replacing the satellites one-by-one in a constellation of this size and scale has never been completed before,” SpaceX explained.

Witnessers still suspect the official explanation made by SpaceX regarding the creepy cloud appearance. "I'm not 100% convinced I know what happened, no matter what news channels are saying. I'm kind of remaining skeptical because we were there, and it was crazy," Solomita said.
