The boy, Frank had been visiting ‘7 Floors of Hell’ when he came across the actor holding a large hunting knife and dressed in character.

The 22-year-old Christopher Pogozelski was using the knife as a prop and would drag it around visitor's feet as part of his act to scare them.

The 11-year-old told the man that he wasn’t scared because the knife wasn’t real when the actor began aggressively stabbing the ground around the child’s feet.

Things however got out of control when one of those stabs went straight through the child’s toe causing him to bleed profusely.

The child immediately alerted an adult to the situation and police were called.

Upon arrival on the scene the police confiscated the knife in question and took Pogozelski into custody.

The actor admitted that he had brought the knife from home. The actor also told local news that “using the knife was not a good idea and that the injury was an accident.”

The boy’s mother however does not believe that statement.

The owner of the horror attraction, ‘7 Floors of Hell’ also said that the incident was accidental. He also said that the actors were only meant to use rubber or foam props and that the knife was never meant to be on the scene.

“He went to his car and did this on his own free will and we don’t tolerate or put up with that.”

The actor has since been let go from his job and has also been charged.

For those already wary of Haunted Houses, this might be a step too far.

"I live in Ohio and our haunted houses scare the crap out of me and that’s without real weapons. This is taking it to the next level. No no no."

"That's why these have always been scary to me. Less scared of the ghouls and ghosts, and way more scared of human incompetence."

Ultimately no one could understand what compelled the actor to bring a real knife on the scene in the first place.

"This is why you are supposed to have a rubber knife."
