Comedian and actress Amy Schumer got hitched just before valentines day in a surprise wedding. Schumer married her boyfriend of 3-months Chris Frischer, on 13 February 2018. Though the wedding was carried out on short notice, the invitations were distributed to a number of Hollywood celebrities with only a few actually able make it to the wedding. Some of the names are Jennifer Lawrence, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jennifer Aniston, Larry David and David Spade.

According to a source the event was arranged in a hurry and a number of guests were notified through text messages. The couple rented a private estate in Malibu. Also, there were even matching bridesmaid dresses which makes us wonder if there is photographic evidence floating about of a thoroughly debauched bachelorette party

#3 Couple Wrote Their Own Vows

Reportedly the couple wrote their own vows which were hilarious, also to add a bit of humor the couple had an ice sculpture of a naked man at their reception. But we can safely say the overall event was romantic. The comedian shared her pictures on Instagram with a caption "yup," and that is her way of confirmation to the fans. Schumer also added pictures of her adorable dogs walking down the aisle and even posted a picture where Fischer broke a glass at the end of the ceremony.

#5 Wedding Was Thrown At The Last Moment

A source close to the couple revealed the insight of the wedding, "It was a very chill wedding. It was thrown together last minute. Most of the guests found out the wedding was happening on Tuesday form a text message sent out by Amy on Sunday. It was like, ‘Hey, this is happening. If you can make it, great. If not, no worries.’ People were in and out all night. It was a gorgeous day. Everyone was having a good time."

#6 Schumer Wanted A Realistic Relationship

In the past in her interview with Amy Kaufman, Schumer opened up about the kind of man she dreamed of marrying, she stated, "Because of the reality of the house that I grew up in and my parents’ relationship, I’m more of a realist about relationships, and I’m not really interested in the artifice. But it’s still fun to see. And we still do hope for that for ourselves. You still do want to be like, ‘I’m married to my best friend.’ You want what they’re pretending to have. And I do think it’s possible. I know it’s possible." It appears like the Trainwreck actress finally found her realistic relationship.

Fischer's sister is Schumer's assistant so we know how the couple met, the interesting part here is that the couple kept their relationship super private. The couple first was photographed together in November of last year, over a candlelit dinner where they were chatting and enjoying their wine. This also marked the first time Schumer was seen with a new guy since splitting with ex-boyfriend Ben Hanisch in May.

Fischer, a James Beard Award-winning cookbook author, chef and farmer got his breakthrough in the culinary world as a sous chef at Maria Batali's famed Babbo in New York, where he got the job after his friend Jake Gyllenhaal put in a good word for him.

Fischer humbly described himself as, "dead broke." However, he is the one who is funding his various culinary ventures, including his farm-to-table restaurant Beetlebung. About which Fischer says, "After years of working for other people, my intuition is, 'I'm doing this on my own terms,'"
