The Australian television host was nearly decapitated by an exploding Coca-Cola bottle when she invited Jacob Strickling, who calls himself a 'mad scientist' and hosts a YouTube channel called 'Make Science Fun,' to her show.

He was just supposed to part of a lighthearted segment on the show, but it went sideways real fast. In the experiment, the 'mad scientist' was supposed to fill a Coke bottle with liquid nitrogen. That was supposed to turn the bottle into a rocket and send it flying straight up into the air.

But, things did not go exactly as planned. The concoction, instead, flew past the host's face instead of up in the air as it was intended. The host got extremely lucky that it was a near miss otherwise, she would definitely have ended up in the hospital.

When the 'mad scientist' was asked if this kind of experiment was safe to do at home, he replied that it was 'so safe' that the host could easily do this experiment herself. She decided to do it on her own but was very anxious about the whole thing.

After the bottle nearly flies straight towards her face, she and her co-host scream in terror. Thankfully, the host dodged the near direct hit and the rocket bottle soars into a tree and knocked off some branches instead of her head.

Frozen nitrogen expands rapidly when combined with a warm liquid. That is why the bottle flew off in such an explosive manner.
