School pranks are usually all in good fun. The teens at Rosemount High School, however, were pranked in the most cringe-worthy way. They were blindfolded and told to expect a kiss from a "special someone". What they got instead was truly shocking.
Blindfolded High School Students Tricked Into Making Out With Their Parents By Their Principal
The Pep Rally Prank
These teens from Rosemount High School were blindfolded during a school pep rally and told to expect a kiss from a "special someone". They had no idea who was going to be kissing them. They thought that the kiss would be coming from a fellow classmate, but the joke was on them.
Just A Bad Idea
Since footage of this cringe-worthy prank has gone viral, John Wollersheim has said that he, the school's principal, owes an apology to everyone who was affected by such an incestuous display.
A local news source says that the prank was planned by the school's staff. The school's winter sports team captains were all blindfolded as their mothers and fathers approached them. The video footage shows some of the kisses varying from quick normal displays of affection between a parent and child and others that lasted for several seconds.
Make Out Sesh With The 'Rents
One parent-child pair could be seen moving to the gym floor and rolling on top of each other. Another pairing shows a mother moving her son's hand down so far that he looks like he grabbed her behind.
Who Kissed You?
After these little make-out sessions were over, the blindfolded students were asked to guess who they were kissing. One student says, "Um, they had luscious lips" before they took off his blindfold and revealed his own mother standing in front of him, and the crowd laughs.
No Excuses
Mr. Wollersheim said that the offending video only shows a minute of the 30-minute long assembly, but he is not making any excuses. He said that the intent was to pep the students up not leave them embarrassed.
"This is supposed to be a fun event and it should leave everyone feeling pepped and if it's leaving people not feeling good or embarrassed or hurt then that's the exact opposite of what we're trying to do."
Traditions
One person commented on the YouTube video stating that this prank is a "tradition that only happens every six years or something." Either way, Wollersheim says that this kind of prank will never happen again during his time at this school. He says that he is the one responsible for everything that happens in his school, and he is the one who has to answer when things like this happen.
Apologies
Wollersheim also says that he knows there are some people who are upset about what they witnessed. He says that, for the people who are genuinely, deeply offended, he is sorry.
You can see the video for yourself. It looks to me like some of the parents are to blame for allowing these kisses to get out of hand. What do you think?
