Pranshu, from Jalandhar in the Indian state of Punjab, was born with a mystery medical condition that has left him with a swollen forehead and deep set, narrow eyes. Although he is unable to walk, villagers believe Pranshu is a divine child and have nicknamed him 'Lord Ganesha'.

Every Thursday, Pranshu meets worshippers outside a mosque near his village, as his father has decided not to let devotees enter the family home due to their ever-increasing numbers. Jaswinder, a local villager who comes to see Pranshu, said, "People come to see Pranshu as they believe he is the reincarnation of the Ganesha.

#3 His Condition Has Left Him Almost Unable To Walk

Unable to walk upright, or for any length of time, his father carts him around town on the handlebars of his bicycle. People stop to bow their heads when they approach him. Everyone in Punjab knows Pranshu and believes his is a reincarnation of their beloved God. Pranshu's dad Kamlesh also believes that his son is not like other children.

#4 His Brother Suffers From The Same Condition

Pranshu's older brother also suffers from the rare condition and is treated like a God in the village, though he does not resemble Ganesha. Nobody makes fun of or bullies the boys, but instead, hold them both in the highest regard.

His brother says, "He is a God. I also worship him like the other villagers. His whole body is like the Lord Ganesha. Mine is not. He gives blessings to everyone. Villagers who meet him get their wishes fulfilled."

The two boys are welcomed by school mates with flowers and gifts each day, and visitors to the mosque bring Pranshu homemade clothes, money, and special dishes.

#5 Kamlesh, Pranshu's Father Had To Stop Visitors from Coming To The Home To Be Blessed

The number of people coming to worship Pranshu and get his blessings has become overwhelming for the family, so his father decided to set him outside of the mosque once a week for those who wish to visit Pranshu. His mother and father are concerned about his health, however. According to Kamlesh, the resemblance to Ganesha was visible as soon as his son was born. "His eyes were like Lord Ganesha. He was born with a big head and even now the size of his head is growing," he said.

#6 Pranshu Takes Time Off From School On Thursdays To Meet His Worshippers

Pranshu has embraced his position as a religious icon to his adoring flock. He enjoys the attention and the gifts. He even likes when people ask to take his picture. He said, "I look like Ganesha Ji and people don't even know my real name. My teachers also worship me at the school. My friends don't bully me at all as they believe I am Lord Ganesha."

"I am happy when people call me Ganesha Ji. It makes me happy. I want to be like this only. I am happy with my big head and face."

#7 Kamlesh Is A Labor Worker With Barely Any Income But Believes That His Family Is Blessed

The boy comes from a poor family, his father, a daily laborer, earns less than £4 per day. Pranshu has four siblings, including an elder brother who has the same medical condition. His father admits that he relies on the gifts brought to his son and also says that he too believes that Pranshu is the God Ganesha Ji. He says his family is blessed in different ways than others and he prays continuously to find out why he was the one to father the reincarnation of the God.

#8 Doctors Examined Pranshu And His Brother And Found Nothing Definitive

Kamlesh said, "My elder son is also having the same condition but he can walk properly unlike Pranshu. He also does not look like Ganesha Ji."

Pranshu and his brother were both taken to a local doctor when Pranshu was 1-year old but they were unable to offer a definitive diagnosis or offer any treatment. Since then Pranshu has seen at least 25 doctors and none have been able to diagnose the boy with a known condition. They believed it could be hereditary since his brother has similar characteristics.

#9 The Family Has Taken Pranshu To 8 Countries To See Specialists

After donations poured in to pay for Pranshu to see specialists, he was given special priority to be examined by doctors in Germany, Switzerland, Australia, and England, but there has been no diagnosis. Kamlesh, his father, said that he is no longer going to subject his boys to examinations. He says that the last specialist told them the condition was likely due to pollution. However, there have been no other similar cases in Punjab since Pranshu was born six years ago.
