Boy Calls 911 To Stop The Grinch From Stealing Christmas

TyLon called 911 to report that he did not want the Grinch to come steal his Christmas.

Byram (Miss.) Police Officer Lauren Develle heard about it and wanted TyLon to know that his holiday was safe.

He told his mom, Teresa Pittman, that he dialed 911.

Teresa Pittman didn't quite believe him until an officer knocked on the door. When they finally answered the door, there was Develle.

Develle listened as Tylon shared that he had seen the video on Facebook and that he watched plenty of videos about the Grinch.

TyLon's brother, TeDera Dwayne Graves put the videos on Facebook.

"So what are you going to do if he tries to steal your Christmas?" Develle asked TyLon.

"I want y'all to come back to my house and take him to jail," TyLon replied.

The police department then invited TyLon to come down to the station on Monday and lock up the Grinch after he was apprehended, according to The Clarion-Ledger.

The little guy who wants to be a cop when he grows up may have won the hearts of the Byram Police Department.

The Grinch could be charged with various crimes, including attempted theft of Christmas, Develle said. It wasn't as much about charging him for his wrongdoing as keeping a promise to her new friend.

TeResa Pittman, TyLon's mother, and brother TeDera Graves both said this Christmas is one they will always hold dear.
