A group of men decided to stick a lit cigarette into a fish's mouth and watch it smoke. They can be heard laughing in the background but some have blasted them as "cruel" for their actions.

A group of fishermen have been criticized after they forced a fish to smoke a cigarette before posting a video of the cruel joke online.

The footage shows the animal out of the water, sitting on a piece of wood, puffing away at the lit cigarette that someone had placed in its mouth.

After 30 seconds the cig falls out of its mouth, but it is not clear whether the fish – thought to be tropical – was let back into the ocean.
Animal lovers have blasted the clip as "cruel", with one commenting that the animal looked "scared".
"Just looking at the fish's obviously scared eyes makes me feel very sad.
"Poor thing, that must have felt horrible.
"Animal cruelty is not funny."
There is no indication where the clip was fimed but the fish is not said to be native to British shores.
