California Restaurant Bans Customers Under 18 From Dining Without Parents

A family-owned restaurant in California has banned teenagers from entering without an adult, citing teen misbehavior that has caused property damage, irritated staff, and turned away other guests. The new restriction was prompted by destructive, disruptive conduct, according to Christina Azbill, owner of Red Rooster Burgers and Grill.

A California restaurant, fed up with rowdy teens, has taken the brave step of prohibiting them from entering.

It isn't a complete prohibition on teens, but it does require that anyone under the age of 18 is accompanied by their parents.

That appears to be the message being sent by this restaurant.

Red Rooster Burgers & Brew, a burger restaurant in Garden Valley, California, has had enough of teenagers causing havoc on the premises.

The short version is that youngsters (referred to as "kiddos" by the eatery) have been making messes, using foul language, and generally causing a disturbance.

"We live in such a quaint beautiful town," the post concludes. "I wish it didn't have to be this way."

Children squirting ketchup and mustard into the wrong bottles to kiddos squirting said ketchup onto the walls are among the concerns.

The complaint extends into "issues with youth roaming the streets at night vandalizing the neighborhood."

The majority of the comments were from people who were relieved that the eatery had finally ejected those darn kids from their property. Garden Valley is a little town, and the residents wish to keep things calm.

Red Rooster Burgers & Brew appears to be at its best when it prohibits youngsters from entering the premises and hosts educational essential oil lectures. It's great that they've finally found a feeling of normalcy.

It's difficult not to sympathize with a restaurant owner who has had their business vandalized by teenagers. However, it appears that they are discriminating against people of a certain age.

“As a parent this great, as a member of a family-owned restaurant this is AMAZING to stand up for your business!” user Sabrina Youtzy commented.

“If more parents made their children take responsibility for their actions you would not have to make these decisions,” commented user Linda Mitcham.
