Diaethria Clymena

This butterfly is also known as Cramer's eighty-eight because of its distinct markings and the man, Pieter Cramer who discovered this species. They can be found from Mexico to Peru and Brazil. This is also one of those butterflies that prefer to eat rotten fruit and animal dung.

Swordtail Butterfly

These species of swallowtail are incredibly beautiful, perhaps the most beautiful of all butterflies. There are over 100 species of swallowtail and a wide variety of colors. You can find these in Southeast Asia playing in mud puddles or swarming flowering trees.

Scarlet Mormon

This amazing creature can be found in the Australasia / Indomalaya ecozone. They have black bodies and their wings are black with amazing red sections that will catch your eye right away when you see one of these. The first description of this species of butterfly goes back as early as 1821, so it seems they have been around for quite some time.

Real or Fake?

I do not know if this is a real butterfly species or just a finely Photoshopped image. Either way, it is incredibly stunning, and I felt the need to share it. I hope you enjoy it!
