If you did not know, the Instant Pot is the latest must-have kitchen accessory. It is a programmable pressure cooker that will put your standard pressure cooker and crock pot to shame. There are so many things you can cook inside of it, in a very short time. Here are some of our favorite recipes and easy cooking tips.

Whole Chicken
I have an Instant Pot myself and do things slightly different from this video. I put mine in saute mode, season my chicken, top and bottom, drizzle some oil in the bottom and drop my chicken in when the indicator says hot. After a few minutes, I turn it over and brown both sides of the chicken. After, I switch the pot to Poultry mode. The Instant Pot comes with a metal rack. I remove my chicken, put in the rack, pour in one cup of water, then put the chicken on the rack. Next, I seal the pot closed and set the timer for 30 minutes. Once the timer goes off, I release the pressure. Once the pot has stopped hissing, the chicken can come out. The meat will be so tender and juicy that it will fall off of the bone.
Hard-boiled eggs
If you are one of those people who just cannot get your eggs absolutely perfect every time you hard-boil them, you will love this trick. We guarantee that you will get a perfect peel each time. It takes away all of the guesswork.
3 Minute Oatmeal
This recipe is super easy and very delicious. You get perfectly cooked oats in just a few minutes. Once it is done cooking, allow it to sit for 20 minutes (natural release) instead of opening the valve. This will allow the oats to finish cooking through and your food will stay hot inside the machine.
Rice
Turn your regular rice into minute rice using your Instant Pot. Your rice will always be cooked to perfection this way. You won't have to worry about random crunchy pieces of rice in your bowl because the entire pot is full of steam to wet every grain.
Chili
Here is another meal that I frequently use my Instant Pot for. The time and technique used for the Instant Pot are the same. I just use different ingredients. I brown one pound of ground beef and add in 2 cans of drained and rinsed kidney beans, one can of diced tomatoes, and one can of diced tomatoes with green chillies. I only season with salt and pepper to taste along with a heaping tablespoon of chili powder. It is super simple and my family loves it. I serve mine over corn bread and topped with cheddar cheese and sour cream.
Pot Roast
I don't know about the rest of you, but I normally cook my pot roast all day in the crockpot, but what happens when you forget to get your ingredients going in the morning? Then, you end up stuck trying to figure out what else you can cook or putting it in the oven which does not leave the meat nearly as tender as the crockpot would. With the Instant Pot, you do not have to worry about it. It takes just an hour and will be super tender. You can even modify this recipe, like I do, and add in your cut potatoes. There is going to be plenty of juices left in the pot to also make a gravy to go with your meal.
Popcorn
With this recipe, you can put your Instant Pot lid on top, just do not lock it closed. This will keep you protected from hot popping kernels. Once you have not heard a kernel pop for 2-3 minutes, your popcorn is ready to be taken out and enjoyed.
Frozen Chicken Breasts
The only reason this takes as long as it does is that the chicken breasts are frozen solid. Because of that, the pot takes longer to come to full pressure. If you are cooking thawed chicken, it is much quicker. The best part is that your meat is always super juicy, never dry and tough.
Apple Crumble
Yes, you can make desserts in your Instant Pot as well. This apple crisp recipe is so delicious. Your whole family will love it. Plus, it did not take a lot of work, so that is a bonus for you.
Yogurt
I know, right? You are just baffled by this thought. Yes, yogurt can be made as well. The great thing about this is that you can add all kinds of extra ingredients to customize your yogurt. This is a great healthy alternative to picking up yogurt in the store, plus it will save you money in the long run.
