Applying Nail Gems by Samantha Nicole

If you are looking to add a little bit of bling to your mani, you will love this simple tutorial. The great thing about nail art is that it is inexpensive. You can find the dotting tool used to pick up the gems and the gems pretty cheap on eBay. You can also substitute the dotting tool with a toothpick or orange stick. I also recommend using Seche Vite top coat to seal in your gems as it holds much better than regular drug store top coats.

Easy Dotticure Designs by Cutepolish

Getting the perfect dotticure is a lot easier than you think, and you don't even need to use dotting tools. While this video does show you how to use toothpicks for smaller dots, they also use dotting tools for the larger dots. You can pick up a set of dotting tools for just a couple of bucks, but you also have things around your home that work well too. You can use the rubber tip of a bobby pin, the ball end of a straight pin, or the tip of a thin paintbrush handle.

Nail Foil Tutorial by Sarah R

Nail foils are really cool and come in a wide variety of designs. They are super easy to do as long as you follow the steps. I also recommend spending the extra for a really good foil glue. You can find things like this on eBay and AliExpress for super cheap. I also recommend using a gel top coat just like Sarah in her video. The reason is that regular top coats will cause your nail foil to crinkle and lose its shine.

Easy Rose Nail Art Tutorial by HannahRoxNails

I know you have seen some wonderful roses done on people's nails and the thought of trying your own hand at it probably scares the bejesus out of you. However, this design is so much easier than you would have thought. You can easily create these flowers using a toothpick. I also suggest using acrylic paint for every part of your rose. The reason I say this is...if you mess up, you can just scrape it off and try again or use a wet toothpick to remove the paint. This way your bottom color doesn't get messed up by having to use nail polish remover.

Easy Leopard Print Nail Art by KatiamNails

Leopard print nails are super cute and can be done in a wide variety of colors like natural animal colors, pastels, and even neons. This video shows you how easy it is to create this design, and the only tool you need is a toothpick. This is also another one of those designs that you can do using acrylic paint over your nail polish for easy clean up if you mess up. Just be sure to seal it all with a top coat when you are finished.

French Nail Art Designs by LifeWorldWomen - DIY - EasyNailArtDesigns

The key to a great French tip is a steady hand. If you do not have a steady hand, there are plenty of other things you can use. The French tip guide tape is sold in just about every drug store or beauty supply shop. You can also purchase it super cheap online. Another tip is, you can use white acrylic paint in case you mess up, so it is easily removed and fixed. Just be sure to use a good top coat and seal the free edge of your nail to make your manicure last longer.

Dry Brush Nail Art by Kelli Marissa

This is one of my all-time favorite nail techniques. You can gain a lot of depth and use so many colors that the possibilities are totally endless. You can use as little or as much polish as you want, just keep brushing until it looks cool to you and seal it up with a top coat.

Ombre Nail art by Cutepolish

As you probably have figured, I really like this YouTube channel. The girls from cutepolish are super talented, and their tutorials are very easy to follow. Ombre nails are one of my favorite kinds of nail designs. They seem intimidating, but they are really much easier than they look. The good thing about a great ombre is that you can wear it as is or create a design over top because they make for a great background.

10 Easy Glitter Nails by Gabby Morris

Glitter can be a bit intimidating when it comes to your nails but is so so sparkly that it is totally worth the risk. This video shows you ten different ways to use glitter on your nails. However, it does not show you how terribly hard glitter can be to get off. I suggest using a peel-off base coat and go easy on your hands so it does not peel off too soon. I use something from Sally's called American Classics Yellow Stopper. It's a blogger secret that it can be used as a peel-off base coat. You're welcome.
