Leprosy is one from those diseases which we typically think of as being a Biblical ailment that doesn't exist in the modern world. Well, we can't completely disregard the threat of leprosy just yet.

Two Californian elementary students have been possibly diagnosed with leprosy, causing somewhat of a panic in their area.

"Leprosy" sounds terrifying, but it's absolutely not as dangerous as it once was. In fact, it is treatable with proper medical care. Still, many parents at the school are too freaked out to let their students attend school. After receiving a letter notifying them of the two potentially infected students, several parents opted to remove their children from class. However, the school authorities have assured the community that no children within its walls are at risk.
