Cops Burst Into This Mother’s Bedroom After They Find Her Child Cold, Alone And Screaming In The Front Yard

TikToker @mustangashley9 shared the terrifying ordeal of almost losing her child in a video where she revealed how she was awoken late in the night by cops in her bedroom. 

She said that the incident had occurred a few days prior to the posting of the video because she needed time to process, calm down and not feel like a bad parent.

She said she put her children to bed at 8 o’clock as per usual and then went to bed herself at 10:30 after checking on her children. 

Her youngest, who is 2 was safe and sound in bed, last she checked. After her husband also joined her and the two went to sleep, they were shocked to be shaken awake at 1:45 am by three police officers.

“Not my front door. My bedroom. Thank God this is a night that I chose to sleep in pajamas.”

The officers shone their flashlights in the room letting the parents know that they had discovered a young child outside the front yard crying and screaming. 

They added that he had been placed in an ambulance.

“I, having just been woken up from a dead sleep, rush into my son’s room to find him not there, and then proceed to run down the stairs, out the front door completely barefoot, still in my pajamas, no coat, and down the block to find my son.”

The police conducting due diligence had parked the ambulance further away since they were unaware as to what the state of the home would be considering they had found the child outside.

She was shocked that she had not been awoken by the sound of the baby monitor, the opening of doors, or any other noise until the police came around.

Commenters showed their support for the mom and were glad that her son was found safe and sound.

She added that other members of the household also remained asleep and that the dog did not bark either.  

She added that she was unaware of how long her child had been outside and that she had been wrestling with guilt since the incident.

Another user shared their own story to show the mom how common it was for toddlers to wander off.

She added that her child was not healthy, safe and fine but she felt she could no longer sleep well for fear of this happening again.
