This New Jersey family suffered a great tragedy after a married couple of 62 years lost their lives the same day in April due to COVID-19, only two days after the lost their 51-year old son to this deadly virus. Gov. Phil Murphy took to Twitter to remember the family and honor the lost lives. The couple, Larry and Vicki had two other sons.

This pandemic has brought the worst possible news this year. Many people have lost their loved ones and many are coping and struggling in other ways as this pandemic has caused an economic recession.
Tragedy struck this New Jersey family which resulted in the death of a married couple of 62 years due to COVID on the same day in April, only two days after the virus caused their son's life.
Larry and Vicki Freda died on April 24 at the ages of 85 and 83, respectively. Their son John died on April 22 at the age of 51.

Gov. Phil Murphy on Wednesday honored the family in a series of tweets.
“We remember Larry and Vicki Freda, and their son, John. One family,” the governor wrote. “Larry and Vicki had been married for 62 years when they passed.”
“Larry and Vicki loved being grandparents, and always had fun. May God bless these three souls,” Murphy said.

The deceased couple had two other sons.
Larry served in the US Army before working for 24 years at the old Pabst Blue Ribbon brewery in Newark, Murphy said. Vicky for many years worked for the Township of Fairfield, according to her obituary.
Her last role there was as executive secretary to the mayor.

Their son John was a licensed optician in New Jersey, according to his obituary.
