When you serve tables, you understand that your hourly pay won't even cover the cost of your gas. You're gambling and playing the odds, hoping that you'll really hit it off with some of your customers and they'll in turn hook you up.

But based off a screenshot from Facebook that's quickly gone viral, a pretentious couple put a waitress through Hell during a "dinner experiment" where dollar bills were taken off the table for every mistake she made. My blood is boiling right now.

So I took the wife out to dinner last night, and we have always talked about doing this. You put 5 singles out on the table at the beginning of dinner for waiter/ waitress to see. (Don't say anything to them) if they mess up, you take a dollar away, and so on.

At the end of dinner, how ever much is left, is their tip. I shit you not, you will receive the best service of your life.

The waitress Kept looking at it as if she was confused. But she played her cards right, did a great job and received the whole 5 bucks. I did take away a dollar tho bet she forgot the bread, but she bounced back and gave us extra.

Haha all in all a great evening with my love and a good dinner experiment we both wanted to see play out. Try it, you will be surprise.

I understand you want to get the best service possible, but I implore you, think about the food. I have been out of the serving game for a few years now, but I guarantee you, if you try this, your food is getting "special treatment" behind closed doors.

I know we all have different ideas about how to tip, but this is incredibly disrespectful. The secret to good service isn't waving a tip in someone's face, it's being polite, friendly and understanding that sh*t happens sometimes.

Waitressing isn't a "game," bro. It's how thousands and thousands of people make a living, and the tip money you provide is how they pay their rent.

Waitresses are not puppets, and if someone I waited on treated me like this, I'd probably spill a drink on them "by accident" and refuse to continue serving them (I'd rather keep my dignity than serve a dingbat).

Apparently, the 2,000+ Twitter users who liked the tweet of his obvious Facebook post agree with me.
So, next time you're out to dinner with your loved one, don't play this sad excuse of a "dinner experiment." Treat your server with respect. I promise, if you do that, you'll get top-notch service without the stigma of being that guy no one wants to wait on ever again.
