We all have some cringe-worthy snaps from childhood that we wished didn’t make it into the family album.
Now the team behind Awkward Family photos have selected the cream of the embarrassing crop for a new book of that shines a light on the many mishaps of childhood.
Everything Is Awkard features some very unimpressed kids, including one baby grimacing in horror as a camel takes a nibble on his finger, and a cranky baby who's been made to ride a wooden horse in a cowboy hat.
Awkward Family Photos co-founder Mike Bender, 41, told Florida Today that the site's first children's book is all about 'embracing life's imperfections'.
‘Teaching kids that life is, sometimes you're going to go down the slide and it's going to be perfect, and sometimes you go down the slide and land in the puddle,' he said.
'That is life, and you should embrace it. The idea is, perfect is boring and awkward is fun. We're really excited about that.'
Highlights of the book include what should have been a lovely moment featuring parents swinging their toddler sons as they walk along the beach. Instead, one parent loses their grip.
One photo is seemingly tame photo features a couple with their baby standing in the front yard until you notice their other child is dressed like a creepy clown.
There's also some inspiration for those planning their children's Halloween costumes if you're after something that will give their friends nightmares for weeks.
It's anyone's guess as to what was going through the mind of a toddler who decided to climb into the toilet.
But it's safe to say that they probably weren't too happy when the lid fell down leaving them trapped.
