I wish one of my coaches would have brought out a star like this to motivate us. Maybe we would have won a game!

A porn star who was enlisted to give a "life coaching" lesson to a Christian college softball team didn't think there was anything out of the norm about the request or the team's creepy coach, who has since been charged with sexually abusing his players.

"He doesn't seem like someone who would do those types of things," Allie Haze, 28, said Saturday of former Nyack College coach Kurt Ludwigsen.

He use to talk to her "once or twice a year" and they didn't think that was weird at all either?

Ludwigsen started coaching at Nyack which bills itself as "New York's Christian college" in September of last year. When he found out Haze was going to be performing at a strip club in New York in February, he invited her to come talk to the students.

"I didn't think it was weird. I've spoken at colleges before," she said. "I've spoken at USC twice. I have a lot of colleagues who've spoken at colleges also."

While a lawsuit filed by one of Ludwigsen's former players on Friday charged that he used Haze's visit to try to lure players into the adult entertainment industry, Haze said she told him he wanted to speak to the players as "an empowering woman."

Kurt Ludwigsen, 44, was fired from Nyack College in March, after several members of the softball team approached school administrators to say he'd been grabbing their breasts, slapping their buttocks and even licking their ears, court papers say.

The married dad was hit with almost 200 related criminal charges a month later.

In lawsuits filed in White Plains Federal Court on Friday, three players said he never should have been hired by "New York's Christian College" in the first place.

They noted that "publicly available information" showed Ludwigsen had been the subject of a "criminal investigation for sexual assault and sexual harassment" while coaching another team in California in 2013, and that he'd been running a paid phone service that connects porn stars like Bree Olson and Allie Haze with their fans, which should have been a red flag. Ludwigsen "was certainly not a typical Christian coach," the suit says.

In a statement Monday, the school said, "All faculty and staff hired by the college are subjected to a rigorous background check including a check of sex offender databases." Nyack College personnel have "fully cooperated with law enforcement authorities," school officials said.

The lawyer for the players, Todd Krouner, said "the allegations in the complaint call into question whether there was any background check, let alone a rigorous one."

"They struck out when they hired Kurt Ludwigsen," he said.

Ludwigsen has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and is scheduled to stand trial next month.

The school declined further comment citing the pending litigation, and said, "we continue to keep those impacted in our prayers."
