This dad would never have imagined in his wildest dreams that he was not the real father of his teenage son, with whom he shared a bond that no words in the world could explain. Devastated by the news the man almost lost it and wrote an emotional letter to his son and the response he got back was enough for the heartbroken dad to feel proud of his son.

In a tear-jerking story, a heartbroken dad tells how after 14 years he found in a tragic turn of events that he is not the real father of his teenage son, who he loves more than anyone in the world. Sharing his story, the man explains he received an anonymous message out of the blue that his ex-wife was homeless and teenage son was living with his aunt.


#2 Called His Ex-Wife And Asked Her To Send Their Son To Live With Him

Confused, by the strange turn of events the man called his ex-wife, who he divorced more than 10 years ago. He asked her to send his son to him as if one parent is stable enough and can provide for the child then their is no need for their child to stay at his aunt's place.

"When I confronted my ex wife about this, insisting that if he had one stable parent, he should live with that parent, not an aunt, she said that she would be getting her stuff together soon."

#3 His Son Was Actually Fathered By His Ex-Wife's Colleague

Unfortunately, he didn't know that the news that would follow soon would turn his life upside down. He said, "Six weeks later she emailed me saying she had just done a DNA test and that my son was actually fathered by her co-worker from 15 years ago."


#4 Losing Control Of The Situation

His ex-wife even tracked down the real father and had him do the paternity test. Dad confesses that he received the paperwork in a mail. Crushed by the news, the desperate dad did not handle the news very well and fell into a pit of darkness and started drinking to numb the pain, as he says, "drank myself stupid for about a week."

But he knew that he has to get control of the situation soon, he says, "After about a week of this I managed to pick myself up, dust myself off, and call my son to tell him that I may not be his 'father' but I'm still his 'dad'. I told him that no piece of paper is ever going to change that. I told him that he is everything that he is because of how I raised him. I said that I would always love him."
