Jordan Driskell has sparked a debate on parenting after a video of him taking his kids out on a children's leash went viral. Many people reprimanded the dad for treating his kids like an animal, while others supported him.
Jordan Driskell, 31, has sparked a social media debate over his controversial parenting techniques.
This Kentucky dad is facing intense backlash after he revealed that he takes his five-year-old quintuplets out on a leash.
The father-of-five shared a video of himself walking his kids - who are tethered together - down the road. "Come walk a mile in my shoes," he captioned the post, defending himself against people who "judge" him for using child leashes.
Driskell and his wife Brianna, 34, welcomed their quintuplets Zoey, Dakota, Hollyn, Asher and Gavin after struggling with infertility.
The couple is active on social media where they share their experience of parenting their 5 young kids. However, the internet is a little surprised after watching their video of putting a restraining harness on their children was fair. Many took to the comments section to slam Driskell for his leash, saying he was treating his kids like dogs.
"Bro I get what your doing but kids are not animals and should not be treated like em if you can’t control your kids don’t have em," one person wrote. Another commented: "I totally don't like how to use kids with leaches it's not like they are puppies let them be themselves."
"Just make them hold hands gosh," added a third.
Meanwhile, many people took side with the dad and defended his decision to put his children on a leash for their own safety.
"I see nothing wrong with this. Dogs have leashes is because they don't understand road danger. Neither do toddlers," one person pointed out.
Another agreed, writing: "I can barely keep up with one toddler! the fact that you are managing 5 safely is AMAZING. This person should have kept their mouth shut."
"Forget the haters," added a third. "You do what you have to do to keep those precious ones safe!"
Some even confessed that they'd actually quite enjoyed wearing a harness and leash when they were younger.
"I LIKED those as a kid, idk why you shouldn't have one," one person commented. "Bro when I was little I begged my mom for one," another wrote.
