Deputy Responds To Drunk Driving Call, But The ‘Business Card’ In Glove Compartment Floors Him

In the early hours of the morning, Mark recently responded to a drunk-driving call. What he found was an elderly man sitting in his car who wasn’t at all intoxicated.

Lyle Wise, 84, decided to go shopping the previous night. It was three weeks before Christmas, and despite the fact that he’s showing early signs of dementia, he was determined to pick up a few more gifts for his loved ones. Lyle’s worried wife Beverly waited all night for him to return, but by 4 a.m., he still hadn’t come back.

That’s when Mark got the phone call and headed to investigate. He found Lyle’s car sitting in the parking lot of the courthouse. Lyle was completely lost and couldn’t remember much, and he definitely wasn’t drunk.

Mark searched the car and found two things: a home address and a stack of business cards tucked away in the vehicle… and he took a closer at the words printed on the cards.

There was something written on those business cards that shook Mark to the core.

Once he figured out the elderly man’s true identity, his mission completely changed.
