Unfortunately, some would take advantage of this fact when given the opportunity. This 30-year-old was lambasted online when she revealed in the comments that she had written to the USPS charity to claim two presents.

She had replied to a thread on the USPS subreddit where someone had asked for clarity on the USPS gifting program. The program connects the needy to generous givers around the USA. Anyone can write in and be connected to someone willing to send presents to them. The program is commonly known to be aimed at children.
This anonymous user told the original poster that she had already received two presents through the program and was hoping for more to come.

This rang alarm bells for the OP who asked what her age was. This is when she revealed that she was 30. She added that she didn't mention her age in the letters because she didn't 'want to be judged.'

She called her Santa 'cheap' in those comments for not getting her the Nintendo Switch she had demanded.
