In an attempt to remove the spider from his car, the man made a serious mistake of taking his eyes off the road. Though he was fortunate enough to get away with minor scratches only.

Back in May, a woman and her brother were lucky enough to survive a crash when a turtle out of thin air came crashing through their windscreen. Latonya Lark and her brother Kevin were driving down the Harry S. Truman Parkway in Savannah, Georgia when the unexpected passenger made its dramatic entry into the car.

At first, the pair thought it was a brick speeding towards their car through the air, but after the projectile shattered the front window they realized it was, in fact, a turtle. After the terrifying and equally weird incident, the siblings were lucky enough to escape with minor injuries only.

However, the turtle was not so lucky, and died from its injuries at a local animal hospital later on.

Latonya reckoned another car might have hit the turtle first and sent it flying to the air, before it eventually collided with their car.

She said: "Even the police officer said if that glass wasn't as thick as it was and I didn't slow down the way I did when I saw the object coming, it would've been disastrous."
