Let's start off with a precautionary tale. Catt Gallinger from Canada got an eyeball tattoo but the procedure was botched. Now she is stuck with blurry vision and purple discharge coming from her eye.

She wanted an eyeball tatt so that she could "feel more at home" in her body, but what she got was a horrible experience that will eventually cost her her vision in that eye.

The reaction you get from the public can range from "omg you're evil" to "wow that's so cool." This form of tattooing has only been around for about ten years so it's considered the last frontier of tattooing. Jay, pictured below, says that one time he was followed around a grocery store by a man who was convinced he was possessed or a real demon.

This guy used to be a former office worker. Then he transformed into a tattoo addict, got 90% of his body covered in ink and got his eyes colored.

In 2014 he changed his name to Tattboy Holden. After a botched procedure back in 2000 left him bed-bound in pain all day and night the 48-year-old was able to find relief in a tattooist's needle. Since then he has spent over 1,000 hours and $90k on various body modifications. Sure the eye tattoos were probably painful but he also has his penis tatted.

If you don't want to go for the full eye coloring, you can always opt for designs. I'm not sure if it's less painful though. I guess there is only one way to find out.

This guy's deep blue eye tatts look really cool when you combine them with the shade of brown in this guy's iris. Most people go for a contrasting effect with these kinds of tattoos but this guy is doing his own thing.

I hope you're not creeped out by this close-up. The way this guy has offset his natural eye color with the black eye tattoos is stunning. By pulling his eyelid open you can plainly see that the ink goes all the way into the eye socket. If it's done properly you will not see any white in your eyes no matter how wide you open them.
