Odalis Santos Mena, 23, died in the Mexican city of Guadalajara. Her death was most likely caused by an anesthetic and a steroid she had taken, according to the coroner's report.

SkinPiel, the skincare clinic where she had the treatment, claims she did not inform them that she was using the steroid.

She was offered MiraDry, a therapy to minimize underarm sweating, in exchange for advertising on her social media accounts, according to local publication Plumas Atomicas.

The treatment is supposed to operate by removing sweat glands using heat energy, as well as reducing body odor and underarm hair.

After being anesthetized, she experienced a heart arrest, and officials at the facility were unable to revive her with CPR, according to the New York Post.

Odalis had posted on Instagram Stories just before her death that she was undergoing therapy.

Her cause of death was determined to be a mixture of anesthesia, Clenbuterol, creatine, and oxandrolone.
