In April 2015, a bizarre incident happened where a man named Jeff Waters casually strolled into the Bank of America in Jacksonville and presented them a check for the amount of $368 billion made out to cash.

Apparently, this is where the story starts to get more bizarre.

Reportedly, Waters brought to the bank a blank U.S. Bank of Idaho check from the '90s off of a homeless man named Tito for 100 bucks.

Tito actually told Waters that he could make any amount out of this check and that Jeff is going to get rich with it. And Jeff fell for this hard and decided to write not millions but in fact billions on the check.

Why so much money? He needed a very specific amount of hooch to achieve his life-long dream.

"It's always been my dream to own the best Italian restaurant in the earth," Waters reportedly told police. "I'm 10% Italian. Cooking authentic Italian food is in my blood. I had planned to make the restaurant 80 million square feet and able to accommodated (sic) 30 million eaters at once, plus it was gonna be totally underwater so people could look at sharks while they ate."

Now that is some wild dream, eh?

Unfortunately, the bank was not up for this grand dream and downright refused to give this much money.

"The bank wouldn't give me my money they owed me," Waters said. "Tito said the check was good for any amount I wanted to write it for. So blame Tito, not me. I'm as innocent as a schoolgirl."

Well, following this bizarre episode, Waters got arrested by the police for forgery.
