Generous Landlord Sends Previous Tenants Cheque For $2,500 For House Sale

The word landlord is pretty disliked all over the world. Not too many people will have something nice to say about their landlord. This is why it’s super rare to find one that’s actually decent. This landlord however blew everyone out of the water by his generosity.

Chris Robarge was sitting at home having a regular day when he received a cheque in the mail from an old landlord. He did not know that he was about to receive $2,500 from someone he hadn’t spoken to in years.

His previous landlord had taken the time to write a cheque to Chris for having been a tenant in his home and wanted to share the profits from its sale with all the people that had once lived in it.

Chris said that in the time that he had lived there, he had been charged a fair amount and that he really enjoyed his time living in that space.

Chris was touched by the thoughtfulness and saw this as an encouragement to keep paying the generosity forward.

In an update, he said,

“EDIT: WOW did this post get way more attention than I ever thought. Since it's come up and my response is in the first comment on the post, which is now buried: I am keeping $500 to put towards some major work my car needs. I am giving away the rest of the money. I want this good deed to reach as far as possible. I have already given $500 to Black and Pink Massachusetts, I'm going to fill every Worcester Free Fridge, I'm making a donation to OurStory Edutainment, and I'm going to give some money out in the streets to people who need it. If you can't do what my former landlord did, let this inspire you to give whatever you can spare to someone or someplace that needs it. ❤✊❤”

He also shared images of the letter and the cheque that the landlord had sent and it is wholesome AF.
