Guinness World Records That Pass Weird And Reach Downright Crazy!

The Guinness Book of World Records is pretty weird when you actually look at it. Inside you will find very entertaining yet zany records that will keep you looking for more. It's almost as if Guinness just lists every possible record they can think of no matter how strange. Here are some of the weirdest ones.

#1 Crushing watermelons with her thighs is what she does the best.

Just imagine what she could do to your head. Olga Liaschuk from Ukraine is a strong woman who is absolutely intimidating. She holds the world record for watermelon thigh crushing. She won the record by destroying 3 melons in 14.65 seconds using only her thighs. On June 26th, 2014 she showed the world the true meaning of thunder thighs! Impressive as that is, she still fell short of the existing record for most watermelons crushed in a minute.

#2 Stuffing straws into your mouth has earned this guy a record.

Simon Elmore has stuffed 400 straws into his wide mouth, after which he held them in place without using his hands for 10 seconds. He achieved the feat on August 6th, 2009. Why the hell he did it? Who knows. But he got a record for it so I guess that's a win.

#3 The record for most World Gurning Championships goes to this lady.

If you don't know what gurning means, don't feel bad because I didn't either. Apparently, it means to make grotesque or stupid faces. I know, crazy right? Well, there is a world championship for the bizarre activity and Ann Woods has won the competition 27 times since 1977. that means she's won over half of the events she's competed in over the last 40 years. Wow!

#4 The most clothespins clipped to a face in a minute.

This is just stupid. Silvio Sabba has to be some kind of masochist or something. The zany Italian clipped 51 clothespins on his face in a single minute back in December 2012. Can you imagine what his face looked like afterward? Painful!

#5 The longest eyelashes in the world belong to this lady.

It's got to be a pain to walk around with super long eyelashes always having from your eyes. 49-year-old You Jianxia doesn't seem to be bothered, however. The eyelashes on her upper left eyelid have been measured at 4.88 in long. She noticed her strangely long eyelashes back in 2013 and just let them continue to grow. Strange lady.

#6 Implanted antenna in his head.

So Neil Harbisson has turned himself into a real-life cyborg by implanting and antenna into his skull. Supposedly it works by utilizing audible vibrations to relay information to him. I'm not sure how that works exactly but hey, he did it.

#7 The most steps climbed using one's head.

These things prove that people will do anything to claim a record. take this one for example. Would you ever consider walking up the steps on your head? Well, Chinese athlete, Li Long Long did just that. He climbed 36 consecutive steps while on his head to beat his own record on January 5th, 2015.

#8 The parrot who opened the most canned drinks in a minute.

This one is actually kinda cool. So this Macaw named Zac opened not one, but 35 canned drinks in one minute!!!! That's a pretty cool feat. The challenge went down on January 12th, 2012. You know his owner must be proud.

#9 Table held up by the teeth for the longest distance.

These records must be thought of in moments of extreme insanity or something. Who in their right mind actually thought of hoisting up a table with just their teeth? Georges Christen did, that's who. He showed off his durable chompers by lifting up a table with a person sitting on it and carrying it 11.80 meters with just his teeth.

#10 The Longest Metal Coil Run From Nose To Mouth

Andrew Stanton is a crazy dude. It's no wonder that he's the sole competitor in this category. Who the hell would ever think to do something this nuts? He shoved a 3.63m metal coil in his nose and pulled it out of his mouth on March 31, 2012. Damn dude... just damn.
