Gift giving: it’s the lifeblood of Christmas.

Forget all the consumerism and the food; it's all about the exchange of gifts, and getting to see the recipient's face light up when you make their Christmas. It's especially awesome when you can put that smile on the face of somebody you love.
Meet Jackson Wade Knight and Haven Prevatt. They're your average high school couple young, in love, and ready for some epic gift-giving come December 25th. That being said, there's always a little bit of pressure to get the perfect give for your significant other; a bad gift can sometimes even lead to the end of a relaitonship, in extreme cases. So when Jackson asked Haven what she'd like for Christmas, he was probably slightly relieved when she replied that she wanted a dozen pairs of fuzzy socks. Easy, right? No way that can go wrong, right? Wrong, Jackson. Dead wrong.

After ordering a dozen pairs of socks and some jewellery, Jackson went about his life, probably thinking about how happy Haven would be once she got her gift of socks, when one day he got a knock at the door, with a package that was just way, way too big.
"There was a really large package. Nothing I ordered should be that big. It was like three feet long and a foot tall. I was like, ‘I wonder what this is?'"
He opened the box, and what he found in there was beyond his wildest dreams in precisely the wrong manner.

Apparently, the company from which Jackson had ordered the socks took down his order wrong, noting down twelve dozen instead of twelve, and sending him enough socks to keep Haven's feet warm for a very long time. Frantically, Jackson checked his account to see if they'd taken out a huge sum to send him his socks, but found his bank account only lighter the amount that would have been spent for twelve socks. Which would have been a massive relief. Haven, too, was the opposite of disappointed when she heard the news.

Despite the company's clerical error, Jackson doesn't plan to keep more than he bought; instead, he's going to donate them to some people that really need them.
"The first thing I did was contact the company and see if it would be possible for me to return them, because that's a lot of money worth of socks," he said. "But I called them a few days ago and they didn't answer. I know some people were saying I could make a mad profit off them, but I think I'd rather play Santa Claus and either give them to my friends and cousins or go bring them to a homeless shelter."
Jackson has truly understood the Christmas spirit here, and I think it goes without saying that Haven's lucky to have him. I'm not the only one who thinks that, either.

As you sit around the fireplace with your significant other, you might think that you're a good boyfriend or girlfriend. Are you, however, 144 pairs of socks good? I didn't think so.
Keeping with the gift-giving theme here, but moving away from the whole Christmas thing, why not have a look at these celebrity wedding gifts? You just know they're going to be insane.
