There are times when the use of force by the police is frankly unjustifiable, and other times when action by the authorities is necessary. But there are still more occasions where the morality of violence is more ambiguous. This is one of those times.

A video has emerged of a man going absolutely ballistic after two police officers saw fit to taser his spouse. After an insane rampage, they managed to subdue the perp, but the footage has provoked significant debate as to whether the taser was necessary or whether the Incredible Hulk was merely going berserk for the sake of a scrap with the cops.

In the frenzy, the man managed to knock down the two other men and keep them on the ropes for several minutes before being subdued and calming down. Man, I'll be sure to give his missus plenty of space if I ever have the pleasure of meeting her.

The footage originated from Frankfurt Airport in Germany and the incident was provoked after numerous delays to a commercial flight had made the couple extremely belligerent to airport staff. The police saw fit to stun the woman, but after they did so her husband became enraged and threw himself into a melee with them. He can be heard shouting "I am a British citizen" throughout.

The Facebook video has since received over 79,000 likes and a whopping 184,000 shares after it was uploaded to the Facebook page "Mitchy Slick". Since being uploaded, numerous Facebook viewers have argued about who had the moral high ground in the incident. Was it the authorities or the irate Englishman?

"While I do not condone fighting a cop, I must also say I understand his anger and would have done the same," stated one commenter. Another person who witnessed the incident first hand agreed that the man had a right to protect his wife, stating: "I saw her fall, they tased her alright. That's right; hands off. He was damn right. Throw them hands and defend your woman. I admire him!"

It's probably irrelevant at this point who was in the right. This altercation will only serve to add fuel to the global argument over the validity of powers wielded by police authorities. It could have been worse; one guy left a group of cops red-faced after they pulled him over and searched him.
