#1 I don't know what possesses certain guy's to be gross, sexist scumbags when it comes to messaging women online.

It's almost a past-time for a certain type of dude, and by certain type of dude I mean disgusting prick.

#2 Unfortunately for Olivia Melville,

who posted a sexually suggestive Nicki Minaj lyric in her Tinder profile, she experienced the sexist douche-ness firsthand.

The photo was posted by facebook user, Chris Hall, with the caption, "Stay classy ladies ? I'm surprised she'd still be hungry for lunch ?." People began commenting on the salaciousness of Melville's profile, but one user in particular, took it a bit far.

#3 Well, actually, really far.

Zane Alchin posted comment after threatening comment, and, unfortunately for him and Hall, the disgustingly sexist things he posted were screengrabbed by Melville's friend, Paloma Newton.

#4 Newton snapshotted rape threats and hateful remarks about feminists and reported them to the Newtown Police department in Australia.

#5 At first, Newton went in the Facebook comments section to tell Alchin to chill out,

but then he went insane with violent rape threats, not taking her warnings that she'd report him to the police seriously.

#6 Warning: the following conversation is rage-inducing:

#8 Unfortunately for Alchin, Newton wasn't bluffing.

#9 Alchin just plead guilty to online harassment and the original poster of the photo, Chris Hall, was fired from his job as a bartender.

#11 This is a landmark judgment in online harassment cases,

something that Melville and her friends celebrated on Facebook on the page, Sexual Violence Won't Be Silenced.

"We're extremely pleased that Mr Alchin has plead guilty, despite previous indications he wouldn't. Our victory today sends a message to all women that they don't have to put up with harassment online; that there are steps and channels they can take."
