When you think about the gynecological profession, you probably think most of them are male and must love what they do. They get to look at women, up close and personal all day long inspecting and analyzing. It might seem great but Vaginas come in all shapes, sizes and smells.
Gynecologists are used to all sorts of strange things, so when they were asked about the top 11 things that irritate them on the job, they responded.
#1 When you cancel your appointment because your period is on.
Ladies they work on vagina's all the time. Just because you are bleeding a little isn't going to make a huge difference.
#2 Women who insist that their bf or husband be present in the room.
You're a big girl. You don't need anyone to hold your hand and we don't want you so he shouldn't worry about that either.
#3 Patients that claim to know it all because of Google.
Google doesn't equal 8+ years of college education. Just remember that when you try to tell your gynecologist that he doesn't know what he's talking about.
#4 People who expect to be given meds to decrease sex drive.
Wait, what? Why would you want to be less horny? Anyway enjoy that libido while you can.
#5 People who are uncomfortable with a male gyno but won't say it.
If you have a problem with the gyno being male just ask for a female. It's that simple people.
#6 Dirty rotten clams
Please for the love of all that is good in this world, bathe before you visit the gyno.
#7 Ladies who refuse to get pap smears.
Ladies, it doesn't hurt at all. It may be invasive but it's much better than ending up with cervical cancer. Just get it done.
#8 People who ignore symptoms until it's too late.
You might think it will go away but you really should just go get it checked out before you wait and end up stuck with something dangerous.
#9 Women who completely stop taking birth control.
If you're suffering side effects please let your doctor know so they can change the medicine. Otherwise don't complain when you wind up pregnant.
#10 Asking their patient to move down the table. Further. A little more. More. Jesus!
#11 Patients who have little trust in their gynecologists.
When you're a patient of any doctor, you're protected by a 'non-disclosure agreement'. This means that you should feel comfortable in being completely open and honest to your gyno, and you should feel comfort to know that they will be as openly honest! You're there for advice and help, and they are there to give it to you :)
