Fu Fu the Cat has gone viral in China after being seen crying into a camera when she was left alone at home as the family went on holiday. Her heartbreaking cries are truly difficult to watch as you almost see her eyes water with emotion.

The homeowner had set up a camera in the home in order to be able to keep an eye on Fu Fu while she was away. One night as she went to check up on the 2-year-old, the cat started responding to the sound of her voice.

Meng, the owner of the cat can be heard calling out to Fu Fu asking, ‘Do you miss me?’ and reassuring her that she’ll be back soon. Fu Fu’s video has been liked 8 million times and has received 250,000 comments since its original release.

Ms. Meng had left the cat for a week as she visited her parents for the Lunar New Year and wasn’t able to take Fu Fu with her as she was worried about Fu Fu being uncomfortable in a new environment.

She assured everyone that there was enough food and water for Fu Fu to be happy and healthy. She also added that Fu Fu was also generally shy and clingy in nature and tended to spend all of her time with Ms. Meng which made this separation a difficult time for her.

Ms. Meng upon seeing Fu Fu’s reaction cut her trip short and returned to Fu Fu much to everyone’s relief. She also released a video showing Fu Fu excitedly rushing to greet Ms. Meng upon her return.

Cat eyes can also look tearful due to infections but Ms. Meng assured everyone that Fu Fu was completely healthy and would often get teary-eyed when feeling anxious.
