Bunions are among the most common and most painful foot ailments out there.

A bunion occurs when your big toe points toward your second toe, causing a bump or prominence to develop on the inside edge of your big toe and first metatarsal bone.

Scroll down to find out how to get rid of bunion naturally.

Symptoms include redness in the affected area, bursitis, blistering and/or callus formation over the bunion and nerve damage that may include numbness and/or sharp pain. If left untreated, the pain can also spread to nearby joints. Bunions affect women far more often than men, and that may not be a coincidence.

It has been scientifically recognized that the main contributing factor is the shape of the foot: people with big toes that are longer than the rest of the toes tend to develop bunions. In addition, the use of shoes with points and heels and genetics help them develop.

Although a conventional treatment for a bunion is a surgery that removes part of the bulging metatarsal bone and forcibly realigns the joints, the surgery does not confront the source of the issue and may be an extreme solution when other, less invasive options may be available. The bunions can still return after surgery, especially if the conditions that caused them in the first place have not changed.

#3 In order to get rid of bunions, first you need to clean the body of salt deposits. Try the following treatment:

In the evening, pour 300 ml of water over a tablespoon of minced bay leaf and cook for 5 minutes (in an enameled pot).

Then, put the mixture in a thermos and leave it until the morning.

In the morning, strain and drink in small sips throughout the day (do not drink it all at once!)

Do this treatment three days in a row, every night preparing a new fresh drink.

Repeat the treatment again in seven days.

Do not be surprised if you have frequent need for urinating. That is a sign that the salt in the body has begun to dissolve and slightly irritate the bladder.

You'll feel the results after about ten days.

Practice this method about 2 months, and the bunions on your feet will disappear permanently.

#4 Natural Bunion Treatment

To start, those who suffer from bunions should avoid wearing tight shoes. Instead, they should wear wide shoes that leave room for the feet to move.

There are special splints for bunions which can improve the condition. They must be used constantly for a period of a few weeks in order to correct the bone deformity. The bunion splint will not only help realign your big toe with the rest of your foot, it will also ease the pain.

A special rehabilitation exercises specific for bunions can help their correction and improvement. To do this, you must work the muscles of your feet by stretching your big toe so that it is realigned with the rest of your foot. You should do these exercises every day as you take off your shoes.
