Hero Reports Snapchat Threat And Potentially Stopped A School Shooting

A 16-year-old Arizona student was arrested for a felony hoax after a Colorado student alerted police of a photo posted on Snapchat about a school shooting.

The teenage boy attends Sierra Linda High School in Phoenix and told police he was joking about the violence he posted on social media.


Kaylee, 16, a Northglenn High School student went to police when she found out a a student posted a picture about attacking a school.

"It says, ‘Planning the school shooting,' with smiley faces," Kaylee said.

The picture popped up on the teen's phone during school Monday afternoon.
