Here's a story to restore your faith in dating apps: a woman went 7,000 miles to meet her Tinder partner, and they've now had their first child.

Brady Elliot was returning to Hawaii from a trip to Ireland in July 2019, only to meet Clodagh O'Sullivan while waiting in the airport. They didn't get the chance to meet before the 25-year-old had to return to the US state for business, but that didn't stop them from connecting.

Brady persuaded Clodagh to travel 7,000 miles to visit him in November 2019 after three months of exchanging messages and FaceTiming.

Clodagh, a 22-year-old bartender from Dingle, Ireland, said: "Even though we had spoken on FaceTime, I was still very unsure. But I spoke to his friends and family which helped put me at ease. "I was so nervous on the flight thinking: 'What am I doing here?' It's really not like me to do something so spontaneous. I did worry I wouldn't feel the same when we met in person, but I definitely felt a spark straight away."

She added: "I'm so glad I booked the flight and took the punt. As soon as we met, I knew he was the one." Brady, a musician, stated: "Meeting her at the airport was the most nerve-racking day of my life.

"I knew Clodagh was the one right there in that airport and our first few weeks together felt like we had known each other through a thousand lifetimes." They got along so well that Clodagh prolonged her vacation by a week before returning in December 2019 to spend Christmas and New Year's with his family in Florida.

Despite Covid disrupting certain trip arrangements, the pair managed to visit each other over the next few years. They made things official soon after, and Clodagh became pregnant during a trip to Jamaica and the United States in 2020.

Brady took the momentous choice to relocate his life to Dingle shortly after, and the couple welcomed their son, Jamie Elliot, in July 2021.

Brady said: "Living in Ireland is amazing - I never would have imagined living in a different country. But living here with her and our little baby boy is the most surreal thing I will ever experience, and I love every second of it."

Clodagh added: "We didn't plan to have a baby, but it was the best surprise. "Since Jamie was born, Brady has moved to Dingle, and we've got a house together. I never thought anything like this would ever happen. But things felt right with Brady, and I had to follow my heart."
