Lana Del Rey is being criticized for wearing a rhinestone-encrusted mesh face mask at a meet-and-greet event with fans in Los Angeles.
The 35-year-old singer was seen rocking this useless mask at Barnes & Noble at The Grove where she was promoting her new poetry book.
The singer also rocked the 'mesh mask' on the cover of Interview magazine
The basic rules of COVID-19 are to wear a proper cloth face mask while interacting with anyone outside your home.
The fans were not so happy with the singer, they called her "irresponsible” and “a danger to herself and others."
One fan wrote on Instagram;
”Lana I’m begging you wear a real mask.”
Another fan added;
“People my age having serious conditions and getting Corona could easily kill them. You behave like my mom, your such a Karen, how old are you wtf…”
Lana was then defended by her sister, Caroline Grant, who told The Independent that her sister had tested negative and that she was standing “more than six feet away” at the signing.
On Sunday, the singer posted another video on her Instagram stories where she was seen wearing a leopard-print mask.
