According to harrowing court documents of the "unspeakable" crime, a Louisiana mother repeatedly video called her ex after slitting the throats of their two young children, showing him his daughter "gasping for air" before she died.

According to court records acquired by NOLA.com, Jenee Pedesclaux, 31, initially contacted her ex-husband Jermaine Roberts to confess to damaging his car during their violent child custody dispute and to warn him she intended to murder herself and their children rather than go to jail.

She later FaceTimed him three times to show how she had stabbed their 4-year-old daughter, Paris, and 2-year-old son, Jay'Ceon, according to the allegation.

She showed him on the last video call how she had cut the throats of both children, leaving their daughter "gasping for air" on the bed before she was later pronounced dead in a nearby hospital in New Orleans, according to the outlet.
Pedesclaux, at some point covered in blood, went on Facebook Live to blame her ex for the bloodbath.

"My children is dead! I'm done!" she howled in the distressing live video, although her young son survived.
"I'm done with life, and it's all Jermaine's fault! … I'm killing myself, I'm done!" she sobbed.

The kids' dad — who called cops after the first threatening call — raced over to the house, but his ex had locked him out, Nola.com reported.
"We gone. It's over with," Pedesclaux allegedly told him.

According to court records, the father ultimately gained entry after breaking a window and saw his children on a blood-soaked bed, the daughter frothing at the mouth, and her younger brother lying face down in blood.
Before Roberts transported the children to University Medical Center, where they received emergency surgery, Pedesclaux is said to have bit him and threatened him with a knife.
Despite several attempts to save her life, Paris was eventually declared dead from hemorrhagic shock due to her injuries, which included slashes to her chest, shoulders, and neck that extended to her spine.
According to court documents, young Jay'Ceon was still intubated on Monday and in serious condition. He is awaiting another operation to see if his trachea is healing properly.
The report stated that their mother had stabbed herself in the neck but had only received minor scratches. Before being arrested on Monday night, she received medical attention at a hospital.

Court documents reveal Pedesclaux is accused of second-degree murder, attempted murder, and second-degree cruelty to a child.
She has a court date on Thursday.
The fatal attack occurred during a protracted child custody dispute between the two, during which the father fought for joint custody, claiming that his ex-wife "was not stable or providing a healthy environment for the kids," according to the news source.
Reports also confirm that Pedesclaux tested positive for benzodiazepines, cocaine, and cannabinoids in March during a drug test at drug court.
However, Pedesclaux's family attributed the "unspeakable tragedy" to mental illness.
"Mental health is a crisis that is affecting every family and ours is no different. The lack of mental health services and the toxic mix of social media has added to the problems we face as a community," the family told NOLA.com in a statement.
