Man Defended After Refusing To Give Crying Child His Spot On Final F1 Test Ride Of Day

Internet users have come to the man's defense after he wouldn't allow a small child to cut in front of him during the final F1 test drive of the day.

Many frustrated parents are probably accustomed to giving in to their children's cries in order to ease their pain, but when the child isn't your own, it can be much simpler to ignore them.

That appears to be precisely what one auto fan decided to do when given the opportunity to drive an F1 car.

The guy in the video was in line to experience an F1 test drive simulation, which lets visitors sit in an F1 car and steer while the road ahead is displayed on a huge screen.

A sign at the exhibit informed visitors that it closed at 4:55 pm, but he was joined in the line by a couple of small children and another man.

"Please consider this when joining the queue," the sign said.

The experience only lasts for three minutes, but since the man was informed he was "the last one able to ride" that day, it must have been getting close to closing time.

One of the children in the line reportedly asked the man if they could switch places after learning that there was only one slot available, ensuring them the final ride of the day.

The man wasn't about to give up his chance though; he had waited attentively for his chance.

He was seen looking awkwardly at the children behind him in the TikTok video before jumping into the F1 vehicle at the exhibit.

After being denied the opportunity to operate the vehicle, the disappointed youngster was left leaning against the man's clothing and appeared to be crying.

Although it's unfortunate that the little girl didn't get to ride in the car, it appears that most viewers of the video agree that the man is not to blame for her disappointment.

One TikToker who reacted to the video called it a "character-building moment" and defended the guy, saying that kids need to learn that they can't always get what they want in life.

Some viewers pointed out that the man who was with the girl appeared to be grinning slightly as the other guy enjoyed the test ride, apparently not too upset about the child missing out on it.

Other viewers criticized the girl's parents for not joining the line sooner.

The kid learned a valuable lesson from the experience, and the man can rest easy knowing that he not only learned what it's like to operate an F1 car but also received online support while doing so.
