This man was fired from his job after he openly pooped in front of his coworkers.

According to a recent report by The Australian, Anthony Lear, who had been working as a production technician at BHP WAIO (Western Australian Iron Ore) for seven years. He was fired in April for defecating twice in front of his colleagues at a mining site.

Following his firing, Lear is contesting his termination.

Documents obtained from the Fair Work Commission revealed the man pooped down a drill hole and then threw his feces down the collar of an active drill hole while working at the Yandi Mine in Western Australia.

The man contested that he was suffering from diarrhea and other digestive problems at the time and had no other option but to poop on-site or else end up soiling himself, due to a lack of toilet facilities.

Joel Garner, a colleague working at the Yandi mine, and a witness to one of the incidents, said he noticed Lear drop what looked like a rock down a hole, which then hit a gasbag, on March 9. Lear allegedly told his colleague, "I took a s**t down the hole."

The Fair Work Commission documents on the hearing state:

"Mr Lear said there was no wind that night, he covered the feces up straight away, treating it like a long drop. He said he primed the drill hole and no one else was involved."

The Fair Work Commission on other hand ruled that:

"[Lear] secured a new job some six weeks after having been dismissed. He, therefore, sought compensation by way of remedy, rather than reinstatement. based on his conduct, the Respondent had a valid reason for dismissing Mr. Lear.

"Further, Mr. Lear’s dismissal was neither unjust, unreasonable nor harsh. It follows that Mr. Lear’s application is dismissed."
