Man On Hospital Bed Sends Internet Into Meltdown As He Turns Out To Be A Cake

Even a four-year-old understands not to believe everything they read online, but during the past year, a significant portion of Twitter fell for the oldest joke in the book: a guy made of cake.

It was discovered the patient isn't who they appear to be when a picture of a man on a hospital bed went viral.

In an odd turn of events, the image of him with a cake for a body has resurfaced online.

The scene is from Slowthai's music video for Feel Away, and the man is Slowthai.

A strange craze of making lifelike cakes dominated the internet last year, likely sparked by lockdown showoffs.

Social media was flooded with photos of lifelike cakes from pastry experts, artisan cake makers, and even enthusiasts.

A cake that exactly resembled a picnic was created by one baker, while another created a cake that resembled a beer bottle.

After the cake from the music video went viral on Twitter, the cake of all cakes caused Twitter to crash.

The man may be seen smiling at the camera from the comfort of a hospital bed in pictures of the huge cake.

While doctors tend to him, he seems to be in good spirits, but upon closer scrutiny, something isn't quite right.

When you look closely, you can see that the hospital staff is holding a cake rather than a guy who is being treated.

Additionally, two close-up pictures of the spooky cake man's hand have been uploaded to social media.

His entire arm is shown lying palm down on a hospital bed in one of the pictures.

In the following picture, the same arm is represented as seven pieces of cake.

The pictures have caused quite a stir online, with one user writing, "This is truly disturbing!!”

Another commented on the cake baking process itself, stating: “Imagine walking past the oven and seeing the silhouette of a man baking.”

A third said: "Noooo way, nope, no no no, we’re not bringing this trend back to life."

While a fourth added: "This is amazing but horrifying!"

Others struggled to comment and instead uploaded pictures of their favorite animated gifs from movies like Jaws, the Gingerbread Man from Shrek, and The Walking Dead.
