The Norfolk Police Division executed an unusual traffic stop. They had received a call reporting a man named Lee Meyer, who was subsequently pulled over and cited for numerous traffic violations. These violations were a result of him permitting his Watusi bull, Howdy Doody, to ride in an improvised passenger seat within his vehicle.
Man Pulled Over By Police For Massive Bull Riding Shotgun In Nebraska
In Nebraska, a guy got stopped by the police because he was driving a small car on a road with a really big Watusi bull sitting next to him.
Cops in Norfolk got a call at 10 in the morning on a Wednesday about a man driving on Highway 275 towards the east, and he had a cow sitting like a passenger.
The police Captain, Chad Reiman, said they expected it to be a baby cow, something tiny that could actually fit in the car.
There are pictures that show a really big black and white bull called Howdy Doody sitting calmly in the small car. It's got huge shoulders, a big head, and enormous horns sticking out from where half of the car's roof and windshield used to be.
The car had a special metal fence instead of a regular door for the passenger side. This kind of metal fence is usually used to keep cattle in a certain area, and you can see it in the car's pictures.
A sign on the railing read “Nebraska’s Big Rodeo Parade: Best Car Entry.”
“As a result, the officers performed a traffic stop and addressed some traffic violations that were occurring with that particular situation,” Reiman said.
The police found out that the person driving the car is named Lee Meyer, and he is from Neligh.
“The officer wrote him some warnings,” Reiman told the outlet. “There were some citable issues with that situation. The officer chose to write him a warning and ask him to take the animal back home and leave the city.”
"Meyer and Howdy Doody went back home after that, according to the police."
"We're not sure if other drivers honked their horns at them while they were driving."
This strange traffic rule violation made a lot of people on the internet laugh and find it amusing.
