Alright, let's be real for a second.

There's a bunch we might not fully get about the opposite sex—or even our own partners for that matter.

We've all got our quirks and likes, but it seems like 'millions of women' have a bedroom preference that's news to a lot of guys.

Thanks to some super open discussions about sexual desires on TikTok, there's a chance for all of us to get schooled on the vast universe of kinks out there.

One particular kink that's popped up on social media is the kind you might be into without even realizing it's got an official label.

For those in the dark, it's called the 'praise kink'.

Here's the lowdown from sex professor Dr Nicole K McNichols:

"People who have praise kinks get turned on by their partner complimenting them during sex."

"Praise kink exists on a continuum of course, because, I mean, who doesn't love being told that they're beautiful or hot or amazing in some way?"

Ever since this topic hit the web, tons of folks have been opening up about their thing for affirmations, including data columnist Jana Hocking.

Writing for the Daily Mail, she confessed that 'it's horrendously self-centred, slightly narcissistic, and probably a bit shameless to admit to'.

Yet, she's 'very much on board with it', "It has had a whopping 60 million views on TikTok so clearly I'm not the only one enjoying it."

Hocking continued: "The kink involves people who get off on hearing how wonderful they are (especially in the bedroom)."

"So if you are like me and you go a bit wild when your fella calls you a 'good girl' while getting it on between the sheets... welcome, you are part of the 'praise kink' tribe."

"Other popular praises that people in this tribe like to hear include: 'You're doing such a great job', 'Your boobs look amazing from this angle',"

"'You're so good at that' and 'Baby, you feel amazing.'"

"Okay, full disclosure... that's what I get off on, but others do too."

And as it goes, the TikTok scene for praise kinks is booming, with loads of users sharing their personal insights on the topic.

One lady posted a clip from a multi-player game where her online partner kept dropping compliments like 'nice job' and 'that's amazing' as they aced the game together.

She captioned it: "This guy was feeding my praise kink all game without even knowing it."

Then there's another TikToker who pointed out: "So I've been seeing that it's been trending on TikTok that... a lot of girls are realising that they have a praise kink."

"Just to let you know, if you have a praise kink, you probably have words of affirmation in your top two love languages."
