She blames her mother for overfeeding her when she was just a child, but she is now 48 years old and weighs over 640 pounds.
Mom Feeds Her Daughter Until She Weighs 640 Pounds!
#1 An Obese Mother Wanted Her Daughter To Be Fat As Well
A daughter became morbidly obese after her feeder mother fattened her up to 46 stone (640 pounds) and then stopped her from having a gastric bypass surgery.
#2 She Began Fattening Her Up For Company
Debbie, from Warrington, UK, blames her obese mother for her weight gain. She says her ‘feeder' mom would ask her to fetch cream cakes and crisps for her, saying, "Take some for yourself too, I don't want you getting anorexic on me." She claims her mother constantly told her that she wasn't pretty enough for boys and she should stay at home and do what she enjoys, eating.
#3 Deathebed Confession
Debbie was stunned when her mother, Pauline, made the shocking confession on her deathbed, after eating herself into an early grave. She died weighing almost 700 pounds. Pauline admitted that she told the doctors that the bypass surgery was not required and pulled Debbie away from visiting the hospital. She also took her out of school at the age of 13 so that the two could eat together and Debbie could take care of her obese mother.
#4 She Was Afraid Of Her Mother
Debbie's father pleaded with her to go back to the doctor and have the surgery, but she was afraid to upset her ailing mother. She even ate food when she wasn't hungry. She said, "I daren't say no to her and when my dad, Michael, begged her to stop feeding me, his pleas fell on deaf ears."
#5 She Grew As Fat As Her Mother And Never Went Outside
"Food for my mom was an obsession. And when I was 14, she decided to share that all-consuming addiction with me," she said. "Mum didn't mean any harm but as we sat and ate together, day in, day out, while my friends played outside, the weight piled on." Together they grew fatter and fatter.
#6 Her Mother Once Tried To Lose Weight
Debbie says that her mother, Diane once tried to lose some weight at the demand of her doctor and even had her jaw wired shut. That did not make much difference because she would consume the same amount of food by having Debbie liquefy everything for her to consume.
#7 She Defies Her Mother And Has Surgery
It was only when her mum was admitted to a hospital herself for weight problems that Debbie decided she'd had enough. When her father, who was worried by his wife being terminally ill and his daughter on the same course, he begged her to have surgery but to hide it from her mom so it didn't upset her. When her mother was taken into residential care, she went behind her back to get a gastric balloon fitted.
#8 She Couldn't Wipe Her Own Butt
"So as we gorged on junk food and chocolate we grew and grew until, aged 42, I tipped the scales at 46 stone. I was so big, I could just about shuffle from the sofa to the bathroom before I had to have a breather, " she said. "But even then, I couldn't manage to wipe myself and had to get my dad to help. It was so embarrassing. I was trapped. Mum had fed me up so much, I could barely move. I was a prisoner in my own body."
#9 Both Parents Passed Away Before She Started Her Weight Loss
Her father died three months after his wife, from cancer, and Debbie was set on making her surgery her new lease on life. She promised her father she would get healthy and survive and she was well on her way. After a year on the balloon, she was fitted with a gastric sleeve. She said that seeing her mother rolled into the funeral on a trolley with a casket bigger than she has ever seen made her sick.
#10 She Now Weighs 220 Pounds
Her mother's deathbed confession that she could have had the surgery at age 30 and her father's dying wish kept her motivated. She exercised constantly, walked instead of rode, and kept busy without over eating. The remaining surgery will cost her over $72,000 and will get rid of her dead skin, a tummy tuck, and a full body sculpture. "I don't blame Mum for nearly feeding me to death but the fact is, losing her has saved my life," she said.
