Ashley Hutt, 24, a mother of three children and her boyfriend Leeroy "Mac" Mclver, 25, have been accused of giving children ages 6, 4, and 2 heroin so they would fall asleep faster.

The couple told the children it was sleeping juice before they injected it into their arms. Child Protective Services got involved when they noticed bruises and markings on the 2-year-old girls' body.

The markings indicated she was getting injections of some kind. The 6-year-old told police that his mom would give them medicine to help calm them down.

The little boy also described the medicine as being a white powder that was dissolved in water.

McIver and Hutt have been charged with three counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance to a minor, second-degree child assault, and second-degree criminal mistreatment.

McIver was arrested in September after a bench warrant was issued, and Hutt was jailed after failing to show up to face charges in September.
According to court documents, Hutt and McIver pleaded not guilty to three counts of second-degree child assault, delivery of a controlled substance to a person under 18 and child endangerment.
Both McIver and Hutt are being held on $100,000 bonds.
All three children had been taken away from Hutt last year and are now in foster care.
