A babysitter posted on Reddit how the kids' mother sued her for feeding them chicken nuggets

The babysitter wrote she accidentally fed chicken nuggets to the woman's vegetarian kids.

The woman, who lives somewhere in the US, told that when the mother came home and saw the kids eating chicken nuggets, she started screaming at her and the kids.

The mother thinks she was feeding the children ‘dead corpses’ in the form of a McDonald’s Happy Meal.

The babysitter later deleted her post from Reddit

 Her now-deleted post said;

‘The mom came home early and saw her children eating chicken nuggets.

‘She literally ripped the nuggets out of their hands and started screaming that I’m horrible for allowing her children to eat dead corpses and yelling at her children for eating the meat.’

The scared babysitter claims she is being threatened with court action

The babysitter, who was looking after two kids of age 7 and 9 respectively, will now have to pay $600 (£453) for ’emotional damages’ after the incident.

She wrote the kids asked if they could have Happy Meal that includes chicken nuggets. Since the mother didn't inform her of the kids being vegetarian so she agreed.

She further claims that she was kicked out of the house without being paid and was also threatened with court action.

The poor babysitter had no idea the family was vegetarian

‘If I were aware I would have not fed them meat. I had babysat for vegetarians before and made sure to respect their vegetarian diet,’ she added.

People on Reddit were on the babysitter's side. They believe the mother should have informed her beforehand if she was so sensitive.

One person wrote: ‘It was her responsibility to tell you her kids were vegetarian. She still owes you money for babysitting.'

‘I’d be willing to bet she has pulled this stunt before to get out of paying and maybe try to get some extra cash.'

‘I find it weird that neither kid mentioned they didn’t eat meat and they wanted a happy meal.’

Another said: ‘The parent has the responsibility to tell you about dietary restrictions. Just like if the child had a peanut or tree nut allergy.'

‘Even though vegetarianism is growing worldwide nobody assumes you’re a vegetarian.'

One person advised the babysitter to always check about dietary restrictions before starting with a new family

‘The kids told you they wanted chicken nuggets, you didn’t just give it to them.’

But a one person suggested the babysitter learn from what happened: ‘In the future if you continue working in childcare, make sure you always check about dietary restrictions when you started with a new family.

‘Ask upfront if they have any allergies or anything they’re not allowed to eat.'

‘Also get some suggestions from the parents for what it’s okay to feed the kids.’
